London’s Design Museum celebrates the capital’s reputation as a leader of design with Super Contemporary, which showcases new commissions from London’s most dynamic creatives, including fashion designer Paul Smith.
A timeline, beginning in the 1960s, charts the city’s defining creative moments, such as the Lloyd’s building by Richard Rogers and the first Sinclair ZX80 personal computer.
‘London is a city in which designers can be themselves,’ says Deyan Sudjic, Design Museum director. ‘It’s where art and fashion, architecture and design mix with combustible results.’
